Long Time

So sorry I haven't written in awhile. I haven't really been doing much except working. I am beginning to cherish my days off though. I haven't had much to sew or craft partially because my sewing machine is at home and I am not. I have been taking a lot more photos though and trying to work on my photography. I will try to update more.

p.s. I really want to go on a small getaway and ride a bike.....

PR 4 LIFE!

Since I don't have extended cable where I live right now, I never see Project Runway on Thursday. So I have been catching up on the episodes on mylifetime.com. Although the EARTH, WIND, FIRE, and WATER episode was interesting (and my favorite designer almost got kicked off--Viva Amy!), I absolutley loved the HARDWARE episode. Not only were the materials non-traditional and industrial, but the accessories made me feel giddy inside!



Jay's GARBAGE BAG belt was amazing! It totally looks leather and I would totally wear it.

Mila's LABEL cuff was super neat and very industrial.

Maya's KEY necklace was such a cool and innovative focal point of this garment.

But the most ironic piece of jewelry I saw was Amy's WRENCH necklace. I know she wears it in almost every episode, but it worked perfectly in this specific epsiode. :)

I can't wait for this week's episode!

Welcome back!

Hello-- Sorry I have been MIA for sooo long. I have been uber busy lately. So I will UPDATE!
I graduated college and am currently looking for a job! I also have a new boyfriend! He is super sweet and he has a pretty good sense of style too (always a plus)! I also spent 2 weeks in beautiful and warm HAWAII!

Right now----

I have just recently re-taught myself how to crochet.
I have been designing some super cute [non-traditional] greeting cards.
I have been discovering some great music.
I have also been thrifting......a lot.

My goals for this year:

*Make this blog super cool
*Update more often
*Network, network, network


I am excited to start posting again!

Costume Frenzy!!

So I was a flapper for Halloween, and I made the costume completely out of T-shirts!! I was worried I was going to look like some kind of stringy monster, but it turned out pretty nice!! I have to thank my friend Rach, because she helped me with my hair, headband, make-up and motivation!! :)

Black and White Doodles

So my friend and I watched Twilight and Juno yesterday. She decided to get out her white nail polish doodle marker and paint some designs on my black nails. See below!!! It was fun.

This reminded me of you, modern marie, because you always showcase your nail color of the moment.

So today was not the greatest day, but I did get some inspiration for my NEW banner!!!
